HelmAI raises $55M to ship Guardrails, a compliance layer for enterprise assistants

HelmAI announced a $55 million Series B and the launch of Guardrails, a service that sits between assistants and back-end systems to enforce policy, redact sensitive fields, and provide audit trails. The company emphasizes that enterprises need more than fine-tuning to safely deploy assistants at scale.
Guardrails offers declarative policies, contextual allowances, and trust scores for each assistant response. It also provides hooks for mandatory human approval on high-risk actions and automated provenance snapshots that tie answers back to source documents and query paths.
Funding will be used to add industry templates, expand connectors to CRM and ERP systems, and certify deployments for regulated sectors. HelmAI believes Guardrails will significantly reduce enterprise reluctance to adopt assistant technologies.
