Indie game marketplace PlayCraft raises $14M to launch curated subscription storefront

PlayCraft announced a $14 million Series A led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, with participation from gaming-focused funds and indie developer collectives. The new funds will build a subscription storefront offering curated indie titles with discoverability and promotional support.

The subscription aims to give smaller studios a stable revenue stream while PlayCraft provides live ops tooling—event templates, analytics, and community management features—geared toward maintaining engaged player bases. PlayCraft will also offer optional publishing services for studios that need help with QA and localization.

Early partners include ten indie studios who will launch timed exclusives on the platform. PlayCraft says its business model focuses on sustainable payouts for developers and building a discoverable catalog that complements major storefronts.
