Emberbyte’s seed round will fund final development, server infrastructure, and post-launch support for Night Runners, a fast-paced co-op shooter with procedural arenas and persistent progression. The studio says the game emphasizes quick sessions, customizable loadouts, and social metagame systems.
Night Runners features cross-play across PC and consoles, an in-match ping system inspired by modern multiplayer UX patterns, and asynchronous rewards tied to weekly community challenges. Emberbyte plans a closed beta for September and early access on Steam and consoles in November.
Founders stressed community-driven design: “We built Night Runners around short-session loops and expressive movement,” said creative director Luis Marquez. Emberbyte will use the seed to scale the team from 14 to 40, focusing on network engineers and live-ops designers.
