Indigo Motion Secures $40M Series A to Ship Haptic Design Platform for Mobile Gaming

Indigo Motion, a startup focused on haptic experiences for touch devices, announced a $40 million Series A led by Play Ventures with follow-on from device OEMs and middleware investors. The firm plans to use the funds to expand its SDK footprint across Android and iOS and hire engineers for low-level haptic drivers.

Their flagship product, HapticFlow, is a visual editor where designers can sequence motor patterns, map intensity curves to gestures, and preview effects using device emulation. HapticFlow integrates with Unity and Unreal and exports compact profiles that run natively on device for minimal CPU overhead.

Indigo Motion is pitching tactile feedback as a new dimension of UX that boosts retention and perceived polish. Several mid-size studios are piloting HapticFlow in upcoming mobile titles, and Indigo announced partnerships for cross-device testing on phones, tablets, and game controllers.
