Inkwell Labs raises $11M to launch Typeflow, an AI-first typography system

Inkwell Labs introduced Typeflow, a system that generates variable fonts based on briefs describing tone, legibility, and platform constraints. Typeflow combines learned aesthetic priors with parametric font engineering to produce usable type families and export-ready font files.

The company emphasizes accessibility: Typeflow includes contrast and x-height controls to meet WCAG targets and an audit tool to suggest type adjustments across responsive breakpoints. Designers can request type styles for small screens, large displays, or print while preserving brand voice.

Inkwell closed $11 million led by DesignWorks Capital to hire typographers, expand language support, and ship plugins for Figma, Sketch, and Adobe apps. A beta program will invite agencies and in-house teams to test Typeflow on real brand projects.
