Kinetic Health raises $40M to launch AI-driven physical therapy game platform
Tech · 5 min read
Kinetic Health launched MovePlay, a platform that turns physical therapy exercises into adaptive games using computer vision and reinforcement learning. The startup said MovePlay personalizes difficulty and progression based on real-time performance metrics and just closed a $40 million Series B led by General Catalyst.
The product connects to standard webcams and depth sensors to capture motion, offering clinicians dashboards with adherence, range-of-motion analytics, and automated exercise adjustments. Kinetic Health emphasizes data privacy and clinical validation — citing early trials showing higher patient adherence compared to standard home exercise programs.
Funding will be used to expand clinical research partnerships, build integrations with EHR systems, and invest in certification for medical device standards in select markets.
