LoopXR closes $22M to debut LoopXR Creator for rapid volumetric content

LoopXR announced a $22 million seed round led by HoloVentures and launched LoopXR Creator, an app and cloud pipeline for capturing, compressing, and editing volumetric scenes. The workflow supports multi-camera capture rigs and phone-based depth scanning to produce lightweight 3D assets optimized for AR/VR runtimes.

Creator includes a timeline editor, retargeting tools for animation, and automated LOD generation to ensure assets run across mobile AR and standalone VR headsets. LoopXR highlights interoperability with major engines and social AR platforms, enabling creators to publish quickly.

The company will use the capital to improve compression, support larger capture volumes, and build a marketplace for licensing volumetric content. Early testers praised the speed of publishing polished scenes compared to traditional photogrammetry pipelines.
