LumaAI closes $60M Series B to scale 3D-from-photos API; launches RealSpaces product

LumaAI announced a $60 million Series B round and the launch of RealSpaces, a cloud service that turns photo sets and short videos into production-ready 3D scenes. RealSpaces includes automated retopology, light baking, and texture-packing tools to make outputs compatible with Unreal and Unity pipelines.

Investors said the funding will expand LumaAI’s GPU-backed rendering fleet and support enterprise integrations with e-commerce platforms and VFX houses. LumaAI also previewed an on-prem render appliance for studios that need controlled pipelines and high throughput.

Early adopters in furniture retail and virtual production praised RealSpaces for drastically cutting manual cleanup time and enabling near-real-time turnaround for scene creation. LumaAI plans to introduce native plugins and licensing models for game studios that want to ingest user-generated imagery at scale.
