Lumenary secures $9M to ship a portable HDR monitor for creators

The Lumenary 17.3-inch monitor promises DCI-P3 coverage, hardware calibration, and a dual‑mode that switches between color‑accurate studio mode and a battery-saving preview mode. The company highlights a magnesium chassis and a magnetic color hood for on‑the-go shoots.

The round was led by LVP and included investments from photography studios and two creative agencies. Funds will finance tooling, supply chain contracts, and a color calibration app that integrates with major design suites.

Early units will ship to content creators and colorists in September, with broader retail availability and a pro bundle including a calibrated stand and protective carrying case slated for Q1 2027.
