LumenCode Raises $60M Series B to Expand Real-Time Code Generation APIs

LumenCode, a startup that provides real-time code generation and refactoring APIs, closed a $60 million Series B led by VentureBridge with participation from Aurora Ventures and several strategic engineering teams. The company says the capital will be used to optimize models for sub-50ms inference in cloud and edge deployments and to expand its compliance and audit tooling for large organizations.

The company’s product targets integrated development environments (IDEs), code review tools and CI pipelines, offering assistants that propose fixes, generate unit tests and perform complex refactors while preserving project-specific style and security constraints. LumenCode emphasized its focus on deterministic editing and provenance — every suggestion comes with an explainable edit path that can be audited and reverted.

LumenCode plans to open-source a runtime shim that allows enterprises to run smaller, quantized variants of its models on-premise and to launch a marketplace for vetted model adapters built by third-party engineering teams. The startup claims paying customers include several fintechs and developer platforms that require strict audit trails for generated code.
