MapMesh SDK launches for offline-first AR navigation and spatial anchors
Tech · 4 min read
Wayfinder Mobility’s MapMesh SDK targets AR navigation and indoor mapping apps that need resilient performance without continuous connectivity. The SDK features an offline-first cache, compact vector tile formats, and a spatial anchor service that synchronizes anchor metadata when connectivity resumes.
MapMesh also offers a deterministic coordinate system for multi-session AR experiences, aiming to reduce drift by fusing visual-inertial odometry with map-relative corrections. Developers can pre-author navigation meshes and region-specific affordances that load lazily as users approach an area.
The SDK supports iOS, Android, and AR glasses runtimes, with pricing based on anchor density rather than raw API calls. Wayfinder plans pilots with transit authorities and mall operators focused on accessibility routes and last-meter guidance.
