Meta opens Threads API for brands with rate-limited creative cards
Tech · 3 min read
Meta announced a public API for Threads that enables verified brands and publishers to distribute structured creative cards — short posts with image, CTA, and metadata fields. The API enforces rate limits and includes moderation webhooks so platforms can surface takedowns or flag content for review.
Integration supports scheduled posting, A/B variant uploads, and localized fallback content for regions with different language or policy requirements. Meta also provides a compliance SDK to help partners implement content filtering and user-consent capture where applicable.
Designers working on social-first campaigns can now build richer, platform-native creative variants programmatically. However, Meta warns that high-frequency posting will be throttled to curb spam and recommends using creative scheduling and quality scoring provided in the developer console.
