Meta publishes Social Design System and Spark AR upgrades for interactive ads

The Social Design System provides a set of modular components, motion guidelines and accessibility defaults tailored to short-form social experiences. It’s intended to help advertisers and product teams create consistent creatives that align with platform UX while improving cross-app coherence between Reels, Stories and Feeds.

Spark AR got an update focused on interactivity—better physics simulation for particles and rigid bodies, an expanded scripting API for state machines, and new performance diagnostics for ad creatives. These features let creators build more responsive, game-like ads that still meet Meta’s content policies and performance budgets.

Meta also published component libraries and Figma kits to speed production, with sample templates for common ad units and conversion-focused layouts. The company highlighted that templates are optimized for both mobile and vision-based placements.
