Meta unveiled LLaMA-3.1, a refinement of their large language model line that includes a 'design token' prompt schema allowing spec-aware outputs aligned to color, spacing, and typography tokens.
With the new API, designers can pass token dictionaries (e.g., primary-color: #0057ff) to ensure generated UI copy and HTML/CSS snippets adhere to brand systems. Meta says this reduces manual adjustments when AI-generated artifacts are used in production.
The release also ships pretrained adapters for token-to-CSS mapping and sample integrations for leading design platforms, aiming to streamline model-assisted design systems workflows.
