Meta ships LlamaX 1.0 with real-time collaborative embeddings for Figma

LlamaX brings a shared embedding space to design teams, enabling cross-file semantic search and similarity matching. Designers can select a component and query “show me similar buttons used in other projects” or “find previous versions of this onboarding flow,” with results returned in milliseconds thanks to a low-latency vector store baked into the platform.
The Figma plugin adds collaborative annotation and version-aware search, showing who edited a layer and why, based on commit messages and model-summarized rationales. LlamaX also supports multimodal queries like uploading a screenshot and asking the model to extract layout constraints or propose accessible recolors.
Meta emphasized privacy controls and workspace scoping so enterprises can partition embeddings by project, client, or sensitivity level. Teams testing the plugin reported faster component reuse and reduced duplication, though some noted the need for governance around shared embeddings to avoid leaking client-specific design patterns across teams.
