Meta tightens ad creative moderation tools for Reels and in-app AR experiences

Meta's ad platform now includes automated preflight moderation for short-form Reels and in-app AR creatives, scanning for disallowed content, deceptive overlays, and policy-sensitive imagery before an ad submits for review. Creators get detailed, actionable feedback when a creative requires changes.

The update adds a human-in-the-loop escalation path for borderline cases and a confidence score that explains why an asset was flagged. For AR ads, the platform checks interactive overlays, 3D object provenance, and possible misuse of branded assets.

Meta says these controls reduce rejections and speed up campaign launch times. Advertisers can also opt into a beta that integrates creative suggestion tools to automatically replace problematic frames or captions with compliant alternatives.
