Meta updates Horizon Home with spatial office templates and collaboration widgets

Meta's latest Horizon Home release aims to make VR/AR spaces more useful for hybrid teams. The update includes pre-built spatial office templates — meeting rooms, design studios, and quiet focus spaces — that teams can customize with branded assets and layout presets.
Collaboration widgets enable shared whiteboards that export directly to common formats (PDF, SVG) and synchronize with third-party services like Notion and Microsoft 365. Persistent sticky notes and programmable timers keep session metadata attached to the room, so participants joining later see the same context.
Meta emphasized ergonomics: avatars now offer improved lip sync and subtle expression indicators, and a new 'Focus mode' reduces spatial notifications to help users concentrate during deep work. The move positions Horizon Home as a workspace alternative rather than a purely social VR experience.
