Meta Workplace adds AI-powered meeting recaps and searchable highlights

Meta introduced AI meeting recaps in Workplace, automatically transcribing meetings, extracting action items, and surfacing highlights with speaker attribution. The recaps are indexed and can be searched by project, person, or keyword across an organisation's Workplace groups.

Design teams will see value in the prioritised action-item view and timeline scrubber that maps highlights to transcript timestamps for quick review. Admins can set retention policies and require explicit consent for recordings in regions with privacy restrictions.

Meta emphasises enterprise security: processing can be restricted to private cloud instances and integrates with single sign-on and DLP rules. The feature aims to reduce meeting overhead and make collaborative decisions more discoverable across organisations.
