MetaCloud raises $80M to scale an LLM‑powered moderation service for games

MetaCloud's service combines speech‑to‑text, multimodal context, and domain‑tuned LLMs to classify toxicity, doxxing, and emergent threats while retaining explainability for operators. The company offers complaint workflows and appeals tools geared to game publishers.

The round was led by Lightspeed with participation from Tencent and GTA Capital. MetaCloud will allocate funds toward scaling inference infrastructure, data partnerships for language coverage, and compliance tooling for GDPR and COPPA regions.

Several mid‑sized publishers are piloting the product, attracted by its low false‑positive rate and the ability to tune thresholds per game. MetaCloud also announced a roadmap to add player rehabilitation flows and community moderation dashboards.
