Mettle launches accessibility-first UX kit and raises $6.5M seed
Design · 3 min read
Mettle’s kit includes accessible components for web and mobile, automated contrast and keyboard navigation testing, and guided remediation tasks tied to design tools. The product focuses on making accessible defaults easy to adopt across large design systems.
The $6.5 million seed was led by Inclusive Capital with participation from designers and disability advocates. Mettle will use the funds to expand their component library, create enterprise compliance dashboards, and integrate with popular design systems and dev pipelines.
Design teams deploying Mettle reported fewer accessibility regressions during sprints and faster certification workflows for public-facing sites. The company also announced a scholarship program to support smaller nonprofits in adopting accessible design practices.
