The original dashboard relied on modal-heavy interactions, persistent spinners, and binary confirmation dialogs that broke users' flow when exploring datasets. Researchers observed that analysts repeatedly applied filters, then reverted, and often opened modal dialogs that were hard to compare side-by-side.
Designers replaced blocking modals with flyouts for quick actions, introduced loading skeletons to communicate progressive rendering, and added inline undo for common destructive actions.
