Microsoft Copilot for Designers adds 'Prototype Narration' and asset provenance

Prototype Narration can generate onboarding flows, feature spotlight scripts, and timed interactions that sync with prototypes in Power Apps and third-party tools. Designers can export narration as text or as an audio file generated with Microsoft's TTS models.
The provenance feature attaches metadata to generated assets indicating model, prompt, and dataset provenance where applicable, plus suggested licensing terms and attribution language. This makes it easier for legal and ops teams to approve assets for public use.
Microsoft also improved integration with Teams so stakeholders can review narrated prototypes with in-line feedback. The company emphasized enterprise compliance and has options for tenants to restrict model sources or disable cloud generation.
Design leads appreciated the faster demo creation and clearer asset audit trails. Microsoft plans to add localized TTS voices and deeper destination integrations in future updates.
