Microsoft embeds Copilot Design across PowerPoint and Visio workflows

Copilot Design uses contextual understanding of a user's deck or diagram to suggest layout refinements, extract brand tokens, and generate transition and animation ideas that fit the content. Users can apply suggested templates and have the companion tool automatically adjust typographic scale and contrast for legibility.

In Visio, Copilot Design assists in transforming hand-drawn workflows into structured diagrams with consistent iconography and spacing, outputting Visio shapes and XML-based exports. The system also includes a feature for generating printable style guides from a single slide or diagram.

Microsoft emphasizes enterprise governance: generated assets can be tied to tenant-approved brand libraries and compliance checks to ensure accessibility and legal conformity. The integrations arrive as part of an update rolling out to Microsoft 365 subscribers this month.
