Microsoft launches Copilot Studio beta for managing design systems and tokens
Tech · 6 min read
Copilot Studio provides a single control plane to define tokens, bind them to prompt templates, and generate component-level outputs for different platforms. Teams can generate platform-specific assets (iOS, Android, Web) from the same token set and preview all variations side-by-side.
The beta includes governance controls, audit logs, and approval workflows that tie into Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, making it easier for large organizations to manage who can generate or publish brand assets. Studio also supports export to common design tool formats and code frameworks.
Microsoft highlighted enterprise security and compliance as key differentiators, offering on-prem and cloud deployment options for teams with strict data policies. Early enterprise customers reported shortened turnaround for design refreshes and consistent cross-platform branding.
