Microsoft Releases Copilot Studio SDK 2.0 with Design-Specific Plugins

Copilot Studio SDK 2.0 includes new hooks tailored for design workflows, enabling teams to fine-tune assistants with internal brand assets, component libraries, and UI patterns. The SDK adds plugins for Storybook, Figma, and Adobe to pull authoritative design state during assistant responses.
The new release introduces a lightweight fine-tuning pathway called 'StyleTune' that uses curated UI examples instead of large-scale datasets, making it faster to align assistants with a brand's voice and component behavior. There are also prebuilt templates for accessibility review, localization checks, and content brevity constraints.
Enterprises can deploy these assistants internally with role-based access and audit logs. Microsoft is positioning Copilot Studio not just as a coding aid but as a centralized platform to orchestrate AI-assisted design review and developer handoff.
