Mistral launches 'Mistral CodeSight' for UX engineers — synthesizing components from specs
Tech · 4 min read
Mistral unveiled CodeSight, a model tailored to transform high-fidelity design artifacts and functional specs into front-end components. CodeSight ingests Figma files, design tokens, and interaction descriptions and outputs React, Vue, or SwiftUI components along with CSS variables and accessibility hooks.
The model also generates unit and visual regression tests for the produced components and ties exports to a versioned package that teams can publish to internal registries. Mistral claims the tool helps reduce the back-and-forth typically required to implement pixel-accurate components.
While CodeSight aims to speed up handoffs, Mistral emphasizes that engineers should review generated code for performance and architecture alignment. The product is available as a hosted service with an enterprise offering that supports custom coding standards and private model fine-tuning.
