MonoDesign launches Canvas360 and takes $12M to rethink remote whiteboards

MonoDesign’s funding round was led by Collaborative Capital with participation from design-focused angels. Canvas360 introduces ‘time layers’—a playback feature that visualizes how a canvas evolved during a session, making asynchronous critiques easier to follow.
Other features include spatial grouping for nested design systems, sticky critique threads tied to elements, and integrations with Figma and Miro. The company emphasized low-latency pen input for stylus users and accessibility improvements for screen-reader navigation.
MonoDesign will offer enterprise admin controls and session retention policies. The startup plans to expand its templates library and launch a community program that curates workshop recipes from leading design teams.
