MorphAI Debuts 'Orion' — An On-Device Multimodal Assistant for Designers

MorphAI unveiled Orion, an on-device multimodal assistant tailored for product and visual designers who need fast, private generative features. Orion runs quantized multimodal models optimized for modern GPUs and Apple silicon, enabling sketch-to-asset conversion, layout suggestions and prompt-based prototype flows without sending data to the cloud.

The launch includes SDKs and plugins for major design tools, as well as a lightweight web runtime that falls back to cloud processing when local resources are insufficient. MorphAI argues that local inference drastically reduces iteration latency — designers can generate variations and tweak parameters in seconds rather than minutes.

MorphAI also announced initial integrations with Figma and Affinity and a subscription tier that includes team model sharing and secure on-prem packaging for enterprise customers. The company expects Orion to be attractive to agencies and regulated industries where asset confidentiality is critical.
