Mosaic raises $28M to launch Adaptive Grids, a responsive layout engine for dynamic content

Mosaic closed a $28 million Series A led by Vector VC to ship Adaptive Grids, a responsive layout engine that dynamically reorganizes content blocks on pages based on signals like scroll depth, engagement, and device constraints. The product promises to boost engagement metrics by surfacing high-priority content and reducing cognitive load.

Adaptive Grids integrates with existing CMSs and uses client-side heuristics and server-side templates to reconcile personalization with performance. Mosaic emphasized safeguards to prevent jarring layout shifts and maintain accessibility semantics when content reflows.

Product and UX designers can specify layout priorities and editorial rules, while Mosaic's analytics shows which content permutations lead to higher conversions. Funds from the round will be used to develop templates for mobile-first commerce and to build enterprise governance features for brand control.
