Mosaic Studio raises $9M to build a collaborative spatial design editor
Design · 3 min read
Mosaic's editor enables multidisciplinary teams to iterate on physical spaces with accurate light probes, material libraries, and human-scale ergonomics checks. The platform merges CAD-like precision with real-time collaboration features pitched to agencies and architects doing experiential design.
The seed was led by StudioSeed with contributions from a major museum's innovation fund. Funds will go to expanding BIM and CAD import fidelity, improving mobile AR previews, and building a plugin ecosystem for lighting and AV specialists.
Mosaic highlighted case studies where the platform reduced mockup cycles and coordination calls between designers, fabricators, and venue operators. The company will introduce an enterprise tier with permissions, asset versioning, and procurement links to fabrication partners.
