Mosaic Systems Raises $60M Series C to Commercialize Neural Compression for Video Collaboration

Mosaic’s approach trains models to compress temporal and semantic redundancies and apply perceptual priors to maintain facial fidelity and slide readability. The freshly announced funding round was led by Neptune Labs with follow-on from existing investors.

Target customers include video conferencing providers, telemedicine platforms, and cloud gaming services seeking cost reductions on egress and encoding. Mosaic plans to offer both SDKs for client-side integration and edge-optimized hardware transcoders for datacenter deployments.

The company will open local offices in EMEA and APAC to support global video providers and expand its research team focused on adaptive streaming under variable network conditions. Mosaic also announced a pilot with a major telemedicine provider later this year.
