MosaicAI announced a $27 million Series A led by Foundry Partners and released Mosaic Hub, which uses semantic indexing to map assets, components, and usage examples across design systems. The manager detects duplicates, suggests consolidation candidates, and recommends assets for reuse based on project context.
Integration points include Figma, Git-based component repos, and package registries; Mosaic Hub provides APIs for CI workflows that enforce asset version policies. Designers can run audits to see which components are stale, underused, or variant-heavy and schedule consolidation sprints.
The financing will expand ML research into better semantic understanding of visual and interaction intent and to build connectors for more enterprise design tools. MosaicAI also announced pilot customers in fintech and e-commerce looking to tame large design libraries.
Design ops leaders welcomed a tool that reduces duplication and speeds component discovery, claiming faster onboarding for new designers. MosaicAI plans to add team-level suggestions and merge-request workflows so asset changes can be reviewed in the same way code changes are.
