MotionKit raises $4.5M seed and launches a micro-interaction library for interface motion

The seed round was led by Studio Capital and will support building plugins for popular design tools and a runtime library for front-end frameworks. MotionKit is targeting teams that want consistent, accessible motion systems without bespoke animation implementations.

MotionKit's library includes tuned easing curves, motion tokens, and component-level interaction patterns that designers can drop into prototypes. The company also provides motion audits that flag excessive motion and recommend accessible alternatives to reduce motion-triggered discomfort.

MotionKit announced partnerships with a couple of design systems to seed production-ready patterns and a developer SDK that converts motion tokens into CSS, keyframe animations, or native platform transitions. Early adopters said MotionKit reduced cross-platform animation drift and sped up interaction design reviews.
