MusePlay Raises $20M to Build Community-Centric Music Game Platform with Creator Revenue Share

MusePlay closed a $20 million Series A led by Rhythm Capital to build a music game platform emphasizing creator monetization and community governance. The platform launched tools that let musicians and designers create rhythm levels, synchronize visuals, and monetize through microtransactions or subscriptions.

Key features include an editor for designing beatmaps, integrated IP licensing workflows for hosted tracks, and live co-op authoring for collaborative level creation. MusePlay also launched a revenue dashboard so creators can see earnings by track, level, and region.

The funding will support licensing deals, moderation tooling to ensure safe communities, and live event infrastructure for competitive and concert-style formats. Indie musicians and creators are being onboarded through an early-access program.
