Nebula Games announced a $40 million Series A led by Horizon Play Fund and simultaneously launched Nebula Arcade, a cloud-native game development engine built for rapid iteration of live-service indie titles. The company says Arcade simplifies server-authoritative gameplay, rollback networking, and cross-region scaling without requiring studios to manage complex backend infrastructure.
Arcade includes modular server templates, managed authoritative physics, and a visual workflow to mock multiplayer interactions that previously required bespoke server engineering. Nebula is targeting small studios and solo teams who want to ship multiplayer functionality with minimal ops overhead.
The funding will accelerate platform features, including automated anti-cheat tools, analytics, and a marketplace for server-side gameplay modules. Nebula Games announced a handful of launch partners and will open the platform to all registered studios next quarter.
