NebulaPlay raises $30M to debut cross-platform liveops toolkit 'Nebula Live'
Gaming · 4 min read
NebulaPlay announced $30 million in Series A funding led by PlayScale Ventures and introduced Nebula Live, a toolkit for running live events, rotating content, and telemetry-driven adjustments across mobile, console, and PC. The platform provides orchestration, remote config, and templated event flows that studios can integrate with minimal engine code.
The toolkit includes a visual event designer, real-time A/B testing, and SDKs for Unity and Unreal Engine. NebulaPlay emphasizes low-latency rollouts and deterministic rollback capabilities, which studios can use to mitigate bad event configurations without pushing client updates.
Funding will grow engineering and ops teams and support the company’s new managed liveops offering for studios that need operational coverage. Several indie and mid-size studios joined the early access program to test cross-region event rollouts and synchronous timers.
Designers and liveops producers told NebulaPlay they appreciated the non-technical event authoring interface and the analytics dashboards that tie player engagement to revenue and retention. The company plans deeper integrations with monetization platforms and community tools over the next 12 months.
