NebulaXR launched NebulaBox, a mixed reality headset priced under $499 for education and small-business markets. The headset features integrated eye-tracking, inside-out spatial mapping, and a lightweight SDK designed to lower the barrier for MR app development in classrooms and remote collaboration.
Accompanying the launch, NebulaXR revealed a $40 million Series A led by Learning Capital to scale manufacturing, supply-chain partnerships, and content licensing with education publishers. The company will run pilot deployments in public school districts beginning in Fall 2026.
Designers building for NebulaBox will benefit from an inclusive interaction model the company developed with occupational therapists and special-education teachers. The SDK supports adaptive UI scaling and gaze-driven focus states intended to boost accessibility in MR environments.
