NebulaXR announced a $110M Series D led by Meridian Cloud and unveiled Nebula Workroom, a cloud-hosted VR workstation that streams high-performance creative applications into multi-user VR sessions. The company aims to replace physical high-end workstations with elastic cloud instances accessible from lighter client hardware.
Key features include session persistence, GPU-backed rendering for apps like Blender and Substance, shared cursors, and collaborative annotation layers. NebulaXR integrates with existing asset stores and version control to maintain provenance and support large project workflows.
The funding will be used to expand GPU capacity across regions, optimize latency for global collaboration, and offer workspace templates for film, game, and spatial design studios. NebulaXR also announced pilots with two mid-sized VFX houses planning to adopt virtual review and co-creation workflows.
