NebulaXR raises $28M and unveils Portal headset for enterprise training

NebulaXR closed a $28 million round led by Industrial Ventures and launched Portal, a lightweight XR headset with extended battery life, an open SDK, and low-latency passthrough tuned for industrial training scenarios. Portal prioritizes ergonomics and enterprise manageability, including an MDM-compatible admin console and fleet-level analytics.

Portal integrates with NebulaXR's cloud studio to deliver interactive training modules with embedded assessment and credentialing. The company highlighted pilot programs that cut instructor time and improved retention on complex assembly tasks.

Funding will scale manufacturing, certify Portal for specialized safety use cases, and expand content partnerships with vocational training providers. NebulaXR aims to capture workplace XR adoption outside of consumer entertainment.
