NeonGrid secures $75M to launch cloud-native game streaming backend

NeonGrid’s Series B was led by PlayScale Partners with strategic investment from a tier-1 cloud provider. The funding will expand server footprint, optimize encoder pipelines, and add developer tooling for session orchestration and PPV monetization.

The NeonGrid platform focuses on multiplayer session resiliency, offering real-time matchmaking hooks, predictive capacity allocation, and per-session latency SLOs. The company demonstrated a case study showing a 25% latency reduction for cross-region sessions using predictive routing and edge encoders.

NeonGrid also announced a developer console with metrics tailored to game teams: jitter heatmaps, client-frame loss correlation, and automatic bitrate tuning for complex scenes. The startup expects the platform to be available in beta to select studios by September.
