Nimble Studio raises $18M to build a cloud-native indie-game production pipeline

Nimble Studio, a startup founded by ex-Ubisoft tooling leads, announced an $18 million seed round to fund its cloud-native game production pipeline. The service offers asset versioning, automated build farms for multi-platform targets, and real-time collaborative editor sessions designed for teams that can’t afford large in-house tooling budgets.

The company positions its pipeline as an alternative to bespoke, expensive content infrastructure, offering pay-as-you-go rendering nodes, integrated QA automation, and seamless distribution to digital storefronts. Nimble will also open a marketplace for reusable technical art and gameplay templates to accelerate small teams.

Investors noted the increasing number of indie teams shipping commercial titles and the lack of affordable, production-grade tooling. Nimble’s roadmap includes deeper integrations with Unreal Engine and Godot and an upcoming visual workflow designer to orchestrate build and QA tasks without scripting.
