Nimbus AI Launches Canvas — A Generative Design Workspace for Product Teams
AI · 5 min read
Nimbus AI today launched Canvas, a workspace that layers generative interfaces on top of traditional design files to accelerate concepting and user flows. Canvas connects to existing design repositories, lets designers prompt layout and copy variants, and renders interactive prototypes without manual handoffs.
The product emphasizes team collaboration: multiple stakeholders can spin variants in parallel, run lightweight usability tests, and tag results back to the design canvas. Nimbus built Canvas with a multimodal model fine-tuned on UX patterns and accessibility heuristics to produce actionable suggestions rather than generic visuals.
To coincide with the launch, Nimbus AI disclosed a $45 million Series B led by Meridian Ventures with participation from existing backers. The company says the capital will be used to scale enterprise integrations, expand its model safety and audit tooling, and launch a self-hosted option for regulated customers.
