Nimbus AI Series A $40M to commercialize multimodal assistant for product teams

Nimbus AI revealed a $40 million Series A led by Foundry Partners and released Nimbus Assistant, a multimodal agent tailored for product and design teams to synthesize specs, generate tasks, and draft PRDs from mixed sources.
The assistant integrates with design tools, issue trackers, and document stores, allowing teams to ask natural language questions and receive context-aware outputs such as user flows, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items.
Nimbus emphasized enterprise privacy and announced on-premise deployment options, access controls, and audit logs to make the assistant viable for regulated industries. The funding will build compliance features and expand integrations.
Product managers at beta customers reported faster spec creation and better cross-functional alignment, though some noted the need for tighter controls over model creativity when legal or compliance language is required.
