Nimbus Cloud raises $85M to expand GPU cloud for generative AI startups

Nimbus Cloud announced an $85 million Series C round led by Horizon Infrastructure Partners to expand its GPU cloud infrastructure. Nimbus focuses on high-throughput, cost-efficient clusters for generative AI startups running diffusion, transformer, and multimodal training jobs.

Nimbus will use the funds to add next-generation accelerators, optimize interconnect topologies for parameter-server throughput, and introduce a spot-pricing model tailored to interruption-resilient workloads. The company claims its recent hardware redesign lowered training costs by up to 40% for pilot customers.

Nimbus is also launching managed services to help teams tune distributed training and reduce engineering overhead. The company says its roadmap includes tighter integrations with major ML frameworks and an observability suite for training economics.
