Nimbus Design secures $15M to roll out a headless design tokens service for enterprises

Nimbus Design, founded by a former design systems lead at a fintech, announced a $15 million Series A led by Meridian Capital. The company is launching Nimbus Tokens, a cloud-first service for managing, versioning, and enforcing design tokens across product stacks and design tools.
Nimbus Tokens offers a centralized catalog, semantic tokens, and policy rules that gate deployments based on brand and accessibility checks. It integrates with CI pipelines to ensure tokens propagate to production builds and with design tools like Figma and Sketch to maintain designer-developer parity.
Enterprises in beta reported faster theme rollouts and fewer visual regressions after adopting the service. Nimbus will use the new capital to expand its engineering team and develop fine-grained access controls and enterprise SLAs ahead of a broad release later this year.
