Nimbus Labs raises $10M to ship HandoffBot, an AI assistant for developer handoffs

HandoffBot analyzes design components, extracts layout and accessibility metadata, and generates ready-to-run component scaffolding with matching tests and documentation. Nimbus Labs claims the assistant reduces ambiguous handoffs and creates reproducible assets for engineering teams.

The funding round was led by Founders’ Loop and will be used to expand integrations with Git platforms and CI systems. HandoffBot includes a review workflow where engineers can flag mismatches and the assistant iteratively refines outputs with a feedback loop.

Beta customers cited fewer back-and-forths in PRs and faster time-to-first-usable-component. Nimbus plans to add more framework targets and language bindings, and to introduce enterprise governance to approve generated artifact templates before they’re merged.
