Nimbus Labs raises $14M to launch 'Persona Studio' — AI role-play testing for narrative games

Persona Studio allows teams to define character profiles, behavioral heuristics and memory primitives so agents can interact with game builds and produce dialogue traces. The tool helps identify inconsistent character behavior and unintended narrative loops before internal playtests.

The seed was led by Play Ventures and supported by narrative-focused studios. Nimbus will use funding to refine agent memory systems, integrate with popular narrative design tools, and create analytics dashboards for narrative coherence and emotional pacing.

Early trials showed that Persona Studio helped writers catch tone mismatches and logical inconsistencies faster than manual table reads. Nimbus emphasized that human writers still craft the core narrative; the system augments testing throughput and scenario coverage.
