Nimbus Studio raises $14M to launch collaborative 3D prototyping for product design

Nimbus Studio focuses on early-stage physical product design with intuitive primitives, parametric constraints, and real-time collaboration features for distributed teams. The environment allows designers to generate manufacturability reports, basic FEA checks, and bill-of-material previews.

The $14 million seed was led by Foundry Grove, with strategic participation from manufacturing partner networks. Nimbus will build stronger PLM integrations, improve export fidelity for downstream CAD tools, and expand materials and tooling libraries.

Design and hardware teams that piloted the product shared faster prototyping cycles and more aligned conversations between industrial designers and mechanical engineers. Nimbus emphasizes lowering the barrier for prototyping without replacing detailed CAD workflows for final manufacturing.
