Nimbus unveils Nimbus One, a satellite-backed 5G hotspot for remote teams

Nimbus today launched Nimbus One, a hybrid connectivity device that can switch between local 5G and low-earth-orbit satellite links for consistent bandwidth in hard-to-reach places. Built with ruggedized hardware and an edge caching layer, Nimbus One aims to support cloud-first creative workflows offline.

The product emphasizes secure, low-latency access to cloud storage and collaboration tools via onboard caching and WAN optimization. Nimbus also introduced a management console for IT teams to monitor connectivity, apply QoS rules and deploy security policies remotely.

Nimbus plans commercial shipments in Q3 2026 with subscription plans for bandwidth and satellite minutes. Early customers include remote film crews and geological survey teams that need reliable, portable connectivity without complex telecom contracts.
