NimbusAI Raises $120M to Launch Real-Time Design Assistant for Figma

NimbusAI closed a $120 million Series B led by Horizon Capital, with participation from existing backers and a roster of design-focused angels. The round will fund product development and expansion of their design ops team across the US and EU.

Alongside the funding, NimbusAI launched Nimbus Studio, a plugin and cloud service that uses multimodal models to generate layout suggestions, component code, and contrast/accessibility fixes in real time inside Figma and Sketch. The company says its models were trained on licensed design systems and open-source UI libraries to minimize hallucinations and copyright risk.

Early customers report that Nimbus Studio reduces routine layout work by up to 40% and speeds handoff by generating React and SwiftUI snippets. NimbusAI plans to add offline enterprise options and expand integrations to Adobe XD and Framer in the next two quarters.
